Graphic Designer Hoping Unpaid Internship Will Transition to Working for Exposure Full Time

QUINCY, MA – During a recent phone call with her parents, 23-year-old graphic designer Camille Brown expressed joy that the design firm where she was completing a three month unpaid internship was considering bringing her on as an unpaid contributor so that she could continue to gain exposure for her work. “I’m so excited that the countless hours of uncompensated labor I’ve been putting in have finally led to an opportunity for my skills to be exploited for zero pay full time.” said the Quincy native. “I can’t wait to work my way up from being paid in experience to being paid in the promise of future work.” She remained optimistic that, if she was really lucky, she might one day be paid for 20 hours worth of work for a job that took 80 hours to complete.
